Part of our trip to Colorado was to take our Jeeps over Black Bear Pass. I wanted to make something as a memento of the trip by creating this steel replica of the summit marker and chemically rusting it. A few weeks ago, some friends of mine and I traveled out to the San Juan National Forest to explore the mountain passes and old gold and silver mines. What an epic trip. Black Bear Pass was the pinnacle of the trip. Breathtaking views. Perfectly clear skies. Even took a ride on an old narrow gauge railroad. Awesome way to see an extraordinary part of this great nation. Can’t wait to go back again.
