Walker Turner Drill Press Table Elevating Rack

The Midwest Railway Preservation Society has a Walker Turner drill press from the 50s that had a broken tooth on the pinion gear for the table elevating mechanism. We replaced the gear and figured we would go ahead and replace the rack as well, and make the new one longer so the table can come up higher. The only rack material available is .250″ too thick.
